The Morning Report..

After a full examination, complete review of this mornings labs, and careful consideration. Devin was started on a BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast). The plan for the moment is this... If Devin tolerates this they will decrease his IV fluids tonight. Tomorrow they will advance his diet SLOWLY, turn off his IV fluids, and make his IV Flagyl oral. IF ALL THIS WORKS... no belly pain and no diarrhea then possibly we can go home Friday. IF ANY PART OF IT DOESN'T work then he will have a colonoscopy in DC Friday morning and probably (almost guarantee) he will end up back on TPN for awhile for COMPLETE bowel rest. I can't even think about this!!! Please keep the prayers coming!!!!
