Tis The Season...

For illness... and this time  "I think" we are looking at a UTI (urinary tract infection)  "I think" Devin is suffering from urinary retention which I believe is being caused by Ursodiol, which is the med they started for his Liver issues.. NEVER easy to balance!!!  In the last 4 weeks or so he is suffering from frequency, urgency, and pain.  We looked at his blood sugar and hemoglobin A1C just to make sure his diabetes wasn't back.. but everything checked out OK.. Today he has a fever so we sent off urine for culture and started a broad spectrum antibiotic.  Called our local doctor who wasn't in today :( and the covering doctor didn't feel comfortable... so Derrick called a nephrologist who suggested a ultrasound of the bladder to see how it is emptying...

Tomorrow we will...
*** address my concerns over the Ursodiol
*** get a bladder ultrasound
*** wait for urine results
*** and do labs
