10, years ago today a little boy was born... LONG before he took his first breath his journey in life was going to be difficult... 11 months in the NICU.... NUMEROUS surgeries.... endless infections... and NEVER seeing the light of the outside world... Dec 1 2004... that journey changed! With the help of many Devin's life took a turn for the better... Although odds were stacked against him... and at points we were told the end was near... his love of life... spunky spirit... and will to live came shining through!!!
10 years later.... tooooo many surgeries to count..... a Bowel Transplant.... endless colonoscopies.... and a spirit that can't be crushed... he has defied every odd stacked against him....
Their are so many people to THANK!!! I can not possibly list everyone.... To the people at NBI, RWJ, Georgetown.... Doctors, Nurses, Therapist, Child Life, Message Therapist, Unit Clerks, NA, Nutritionist, Case Management, & the list can go on THANK YOU this story is a success because of ALL of you.... For the home care company (Prompt Care) and to ALL the employees who jumped through hoops to make sure we could keep him home through the ups and downs... To all the therapist who worked with him at home... Thank you for NEVER giving up and believing in him....
To his current school.... Thank You ALL, teachers, para's, therapists, and all the staff... Devin LOVES school and you have all gone out of your way to give him a safe environment that he calls his own... The academic, social, and emotional accomplishments he's made we owe to you!!! THANK YOU
To ALL the friends and family... near and far... your love and support means the world to us!! The power of prayer is an amazing thing!!!
To my immediate family.... Thank you all for your support through this journey... at times slightly nerve racking... but you all can appreciate how far we have come!!!
Raymond & Caitlin... their are no words to say... You guys have been amazing through all of it... You've loved unconditionally and NEVER gave up hope... and here we all are 10 years later.... Devin loves you both... to the moon and back!!!!!
Happy Birthday Devin.... may your love of life... your will to live... your persistent nature.... and your energy... see you through any storm that comes your way!!!!

Happy Birthday to such a wonderful little boy with a lot of spunk. You have great Parents and the best brother and sister a lil boy would want. Enjoy your day and I hope to keep reading all the wonderful stories your mom posts.
