So TRUE....

Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

We Are...

HOME....

What a week of craziness!! But unfortunately that is the way it is with Bowel Transplant kids.. things can change on a dime.  With ANY type of GI illness their is ALWAYS the struggle of maintaining hydration and maintaining adequate anti-rejection drug levels, while trying to ward off rejection.  A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to my doctor here and in DC who did some meticulous management this week and kept us close to home... and got us home in 1 week.  Sometimes these illnesses lead to weeks in the hospital!

So the plan (for now)... labs tomorrow :(  and doctor on Thursday.

Devin has resumed his regular diet and things seem OK!!

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!!! You have no idea how much they mean to us!!!

Many have asked about school... yes!! he can return.  Possibly by the middle of the week, maybe not for the full day but we'll see.  I need some time to try and get him back on track!!
