A Little Boys Amazing Journey & A families balance between... QUALITY & QUANTITY...
So TRUE....
Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

Calling ALL PRAYER WARRIORS...
Devin's fever is back... which is concerning! But more concerning is he looks like he has "pink eye" his eye is oozing! This is very concerning because ALL his symptoms put together are making us wonder if he has Adenovirus, unfortunately it take 3 to 5 business days to get the results!!
Adenovirus, in a healthy child is usually nothing more than a common cold, sore throat, ear ache, pink eye, and fever. It can also be a GI type of illness vomiting and diarrhea. Symptoms last 3 to 5 days and rarely cause issues.
IF Devin tests positive for this virus... even if his symptoms are completely cleared up and he is well again!! He will need to go to the hospital for 2 weeks of treatment!!!!!!!!! because it CAN attack the lining of the transplanted bowel!!!!! and be extremely hard on his liver.
Prayer Warriors, Devin needs prayers!! Please God don't let Devin have this virus!!!
If he needs to miss anymore school he is going to have a nervous breakdown. He was fighting with me at 4:30 this morning that he really could go... fever and all!!!!
Spoke to the transplant center this morning and am waiting to hear back from them regarding the whole situation! Looking for Derrick to put some pressure on the lab for speedy results!
Tony, I don't know if you read this blog... but if you do... if Devin needs to spend two weeks in the hospital your secret gift (PSP) will definitely make his Easter basket!!! with MLB the show!!!
Heard back from DC... we will wait on lab results.. UNLESS he starts to have bowel issues. If his labs come back positive regardless of how he is doing he will need treatment... Praying for NEGATIVE results!!! and Praying he just gets better!!!
