Results Are Is In....

Devins biopsy results are in....

  • Intestines   NO evidence of inflammation, infection, or rejection.... THANK YOU GOD!!!!
  • Esophagus  Eosinophilic Esophagitis... aka ulcers in the  esophagus.  This can occur do to allergies, food and environmental.  It can also be cause by medications. They also claim they see their far share of it in transplant patients..  The plan is to start him on pulmicort which is corticosteroid that is used to treat this and a protein pump inhibitor (prevacid).   He does suffer from mild seasonal allergies, but nothing to impressive.  He has NO evidence of food allergies, NONE!!!!  They could put him through extensive allergy testing but treatment would still be the same..    Not sure when they plan on scoping him again to make sure the treatment is working.  The concern is that the ulcers will erode the esophagus.
