A Little Boys Amazing Journey & A families balance between... QUALITY & QUANTITY...
So TRUE....
Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

On A Positive Note...
Yesterday we walked/jogged in the Sharing Network 5k walk/run. It was WONDERFUL.. Devin was super excited!!! and it turned out it was a REALLY positive day for him. He got a lot of positive, fun, attention which was GREAT!!
We got a lot of attention for our team name... "Devin Got Guts" which was funny because it was extremely last minute and rushed. People stopped to ask if they could take pictures of it and when the walk began they had some college volunteers that went nuts cheering him on!!!!!! Devin's smile was worth a million dollars!!!
It was a great day in all!! Derrick got to see a patient he referred for a heart transplant... 2 months later transplanted and walking 3 miles!!!!! AMAZING!!!
We spent some time with our hospitals heart transplant unit team which was great!! to see familiar faces.. :) especially being that Devin's team was Me, Derrick, & Caitlin..
Being the GREAT big sister that she is Caitlin said.. "next year I wanna have a biggest team for Devin" So, get ready... save the date (second Sunday in June)... we will be reaching out far and wide LOL!!! and I have just the people to assign to this mission in both NY and NJ... I probably have a hand full in each state that will leave no person un-haunted for Devin!!!
