A Little Boys Amazing Journey & A families balance between... QUALITY & QUANTITY...
So TRUE....
Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

So Far So Good....
10/21/2008
Devin's back to base line... His new line is working nicely.. 24-48hrs after he went back on his TPN(nutrition), he was like a new kid. What a reality check... we cruised along all summer with some minor bumps in the road.. belly pain, reching, GT site leaking, and diarrhea. Sometimes wondering to myself... does he really need this transplant. Those thoughts changed quickly last week. Watching him be stuck atleast 10 to 15 times for IV's that didn't last long and burned his arms. Begging for them to stop, it was horrible. Then to watch him sleep all the time and become soooo inactive was scary. He just couldn't be maintained on PPN instead of TPN because his veins couldn't take it. Thank god all cultures remain negative..
On a much happier note..... we are 48 hrs away from his 5th birthday. OOO the excitement. Tonight we are discussing party plans. We can not do anything long range because his health changes daily.. So stay tuned for Thursdays events. Remember please sign his guestbook... especially Thursday.
