A Little Boys Amazing Journey & A families balance between... QUALITY & QUANTITY...
So TRUE....
Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

What A Difference...
What a difference a years makes!!!
** Devin is doing wonderful in school.. He stayed in "THE GREEN" 5 full days in a row!! Who could ask for more... He goes off very eager and happy in the morning and comes home tired but happy... homework is done rather quickly and without much of a fight!! Emotionally and physically he is just in a better place!! The class size and pace seems to be a good fit... he loves his teacher and his para, which makes it so much easier! Only 2 trips to the nurse so far for GT issues... ggrrr!!!!! That thing needs to be closed up!!!!
** Devin, started school last year living off of 3000cc of Elecare a day!! After months of monthly right side pneumonia I finally convinced them he had to be aspirating... We stopped using his tube in February and we haven't had pneumonia since... But the funny part is this, his para said to me that his biggest issue in school is he is starving! She said, he eats breakfast when he comes in, but maybe you can give him some at home too! What? he is eating breakfast here? He eats at home... ((3 to 4)) strawberry or blueberry waffles, eggs, ham, cheese, and potatoes, plus a Vital Jr drink!!!! EVERYDAY!!!! What more can I give him?? He eats a bowl of pasta for lunch and 2 drinks... last week he ate hot lunch too!!! He comes home ready to eat the house!!! What a difference a year makes!!
**Devin had his first cold.. :( the joys of school... But he seems to have beat it with no antibiotics or anti-virals!! Lets hope I don't regret writing this!!
**We had our first Fun Friday... Lion King 3D :) Unfortunately Devin fell on the wet lobby floor and landed head first!! ggrrr... Then to complete the night he lost another tooth!! you would have thought the world was ending!!! But he recovered quickly when I reminded him the tooth fairy would be coming to visit.. LOL
So far so good!!! Pray it continues!!!!
Ray, is enjoying senior year!! but needs to start with his college applications!! :/
Cait, is adjusting a little better to freshman year.. and starts her first job today!! :)
