My foot surgery went well. Slightly more involved then I had planned but so far so good. Tomorrow I will return to the surgeon to have the dressing removed which I believe will make the world of difference.
I lost the GT closure debate.. Devin will return to DC for 5 to 7 days as of right know June 29th which I am NOT thrilled with.. 4th of July weekend!! I know for some this is hard to understand... yes, closing the GT site is a huge step forward. But summer is by far our healthiest time of year!! It's a time of year that allows Devin to be a boy out from sunrise to sunset... and to take that away from him even for one week kills me!! So my decision on how to proceed forward with this is not set in stone yet!!
6 days until my trip... As I lay recovering I am writing all my letters for consent for treatment... signs to post around the house to remind everyone of his medication schedule.. Most importantly his anti-rejection meds!!! and I am getting a little nervous!!!!

MAYBE, it will be better for Devon to have the surgery in July, because there shouldn't be as many 'sick' people or viruses going around like there will be in the winter! (Just a thought)
