2 Years Ago Today...
Two years ago today we entered into a world... a world like NO other... a world that ONLY a transplant parent can understand!!!.... a world that will NEVER allow you to rest easy... a world where no two days are ever the same medically, physically, or emotionally.... a world that the fear of the unknown lurks ahead!!! But for today we celebrate!!! We celebrate the GIFT OF LIFE that Devin was given... and the GIFT OF TIME that we were given. I can not and will not lie to you. It has been a LONG HARD two years!! We have climbed many mountains and have hit many bumps in the road but we manage everyday to make the best of what that day has to offer. It has taught us as a family how precious each memory is.... because we don't know what tomorrow might bring!!!
We have accomplished HUGE milestones... yet their are so many more to accomplish... One Day At A Time... One Step At A Time....
Today their is one very special and precious little person who holds a special place in my heart... OUR LITTLE DONOR ANGEL!!! May he rest in peace!!

On this day I just have to say that the entire McQueen/Kane family are heroes! You are all true inspiration as to what the meaning of life and family really is...
I never thought the phrase "making memories" could have such a powerful message and then I met the McQueen's!Not a day has gone by in the last 5 years that I have not thought of you and prayed for you at least once a day.
Devin-even though you are a Yankee Fan, I Love You and I know you are too young to know better......You, your mom, dad, brother, and sister are true heroes in every sense of the word. Hope you have a happy and healthy "anniversary day"! and Let's Go Mets! :)
The days rush by so quickly,the times we have to slow down to speak seem few.We see eachother passing by car or on foot.We are kept so busy and thank God for each moment.I just saw you the other day . Your mom and I always manage to send a joke or two in passing. One thing in all the hustle and bustle remains the same...It is your smile,and your wave. You are an insipation everyday to all of us. You should know that you are in my heart more days than you will ever know. Thank you Devin for being such a Happy part of our day time and time again. Love and prayers to my other family. Not a day goes by that i am not either thinking or speaking to at least one or two of you. Each day brings a new experience your way and many days are filled with new challenges. God is always by your side as He watches over all of you.
