A Little Boys Amazing Journey & A families balance between... QUALITY & QUANTITY...
So TRUE....
Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

Once Again...
We wait!!! I took Devin to the pulmonologist today because he is coughing again!! We are exactly 1 week off IV antibiotics and the cough has returned... GGRRR!! She ordered a chest x-ray.. which of course I had done 10 minutes after leaving the office... I am waiting for her to call with the results! While she examined Devin she noticed sores in the back of his mouth (throat area)... Is it thrush? from over a month of antibiotics! Although it is not in the typical areas that you see thrush.. it very well could be. Is it coxsackie? not likely because we have NO other symptoms and being immune suppressed one would expect him to be sicker then the average kid. Is it strep? again unlikely because he is not complaining of a sore throat.. As we discussed what it could be, she suggested calling the transplant center.. Just my luck I was in x-ray when they called back... they left me a message, "please call us and let us know exactly where the sores are and what the look like"... AAHH!!! what does this mean??? and of course by the time I called them back it was after hours... SO I wait once again!!!
I was feeling ok about the entire situation... almost to busy & tired to worry.. Just Yet!!! UNTIL my husband said "I believe graft vs host disease can present as ulcers in the mouth" Thanks! Great! I'll sleep well tonight!
Can't wait until 9 AM!!
