A Little Boys Amazing Journey & A families balance between... QUALITY & QUANTITY...
So TRUE....
Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

AAAHHHH!!!
Where to begin… Spoke at length today with the local team and came up with a plan that seemed reasonable… BUT… I did have some concerns… 14 days of an oral antibiotic! (that KILLS the best GI system) How would a transplanted bowel tolerate that?? If we got diarrhea how would we maintain his anti-rejection drug levels?? And my big concern was… how would we know if his lung was getting better instead of worse??
After speaking to the transplant team things changed… Bronchoscopy scheduled for first thing tomorrow morning…. they are concerned about, Graft vs Host which is a kind or rejection that can attack the lungs! They also want to get some specimens to check for… fungal infection, viruses, & bacteria… “kids don’t get worse on oral antibiotics, even immune suppressed ones”… “this is a potential smoldering inferno”… and plenty more catchy alarming phrases…
PLEASE, pray that his bronchoscopy goes well tomorrow… doing it with the degree of pneumonia he has is risky..
PLEASE PRAY!!!
