A M A Z I N G.....
Seven years ago today.... A FIGHTER WAS BORN.... and today we celebrate!! Devin's had a LONG... HARD seven years.. but he is AMAZING!! he gets knocked down and he picks up and keeps going... Yes, he is spoiled... he is crabby & grumpy at times... he is determined... and he has an unbelievable will.... and thats why he is alive today.. :)
Today, we celebrate his accomplishments. He has achieved an unbelievable amount in the face of all his adversity... and for that we are Thankful!!!
So, we may not be at Chuckie Cheese and we are not able to have a lot of people over... but we are CELEBRATING & THANKFUL for this day!!!

As a father to another boy with an intestinal transplant (plus liver, stomach, pancreas and spleen - yeah, that's a lot!), I can say honestly that I am amazed by your courage, your fight, your spunk, and your spirit. My son, Carter, like you, hopefully, will live beyond us parents. Share so many future birthdays that you lose count. Happy Birthday to one of the coolest kids I've never met!! (although I feel like I have) You have been through more these 7 yrs. than most people do in their entire lifetime. God has his hand upon your life. He loves you SO MUCH! I know you may not like Texas too much right now...(wink, wink), but we love you and have prayed for you SO many days and nights.
