AND THE SAGA CONTINUES....

Spoke with the transplant team...

  •  first...  lab work and cultures of the sores.. easy enough!
  •  second... STOP the Rapamune (the uglier of the anti-rejection drugs, but the one that God willing will give us more time)   WHAT!! stop it...  but Dr. K wasn't willing to cut the dose in half for more then 24 hrs???? 
What could this be ??

  • virus .... question is what one??
  • Rapamune... "yes, sometimes it cause sores in the mouth and we have to stop using it!!"....  and then what... "we use a second agent that is far less effective and not absorbed well"...  oh wonderful!  as though life isn't complicated enough!  
So, for know we wait and see virus vs drug... which one is causing this???

As I have said time and time again... Transplant is a complex journey... That gives the word "BALANCE" a whole new meaning!!!
