A Little Boys Amazing Journey & A families balance between... QUALITY & QUANTITY...
So TRUE....
Don't think of organ donation as giving up part of yourself to keep a total stranger alive. It's really a total stranger giving up almost all of themselves to keep part of you alive. ~Author Unknown

An Emotional Roller Coaster
Yesterday at 2:14pm my cell phone rang.. It was unfamiliar ring tone, but exactly whose I could not remember... As I looked at the phone and saw that "202" area code my heart skipped a beat... As I said Hello the voice said... This is Georgetown Transplant Center.... As they asked me all the standard questions" is Devin in good health and has he had a fever" I was breathing deeply trying to answer each question and listen to her response... Then those words that you live everyday wondering if today will possibly be the day..... We have a bowel for Devin.... Within 45 minutes we were racing down the Turnpike to Georgetown.. When we reached exit 7, once again the phone rang... It was Georgetown to say the patient had taken a turn for the worst and they would not be able take the Bowel. Transplant is off.... All though this was a terrible emotional roller coaster..... that we've been through twice in five months.. Today my thoughts and prayers are with the family that lost their child. During their time of tragedy and heartache they thought enough to give "The Gift of Life"....... Please keep praying!!
